Manakolam [200 grams]

Manakolam is a unique and unusual dessert from Chettinad. It is made of rice flour, green gramme flour, black gramme flour, and channa dal flour. It is then deep-fried in fresh oil and soaked in jaggary syrup. For added crunch and flavour, roasted coconut pieces dipped in ghee and roasted channa dal are also incorporated. This is a lovely and nutritious treat for snack time.
